Notice to Fish Harvesters - 2019

 Postponed opening 

of the competitive Spring fishery for the ATLANTIc halibut 4RST 

Upper and middle north shore fixed gear fleet of less than 19.81 m 

 

Sept-Îles – April 29, 2019  

Fisheries and Oceans Canada – Quebec Region announces that the opening of the spring fishery for the Atlantic Halibut of NAFO divisions 4RST for the Upper and Middle North Shore (UMNS) fixed gear fleet of less than 19.81 m based from Tadoussac to Sept-Îles has been postponed, due to due to unfavourable weather conditions. 

Thus, the fishery will be authorized from May 2, 2019 at 05 h (EDT) to May 4, 2019 at 18 h (EDT). Eligible fish harvesters who wish to participate to this fishery must ask for their Conditions of licence through the National Online Licensing System (NOLS).
