Fisheries and Oceans Canada – Quebec region wishes to inform licence holders of it’s ELOG implementation plan for 2020.  The following table presents all the fleets of concern and their respective status with regard to the use of the ELOG.

For fleets identified with an asterisk (*), implementation is subject to the availability of client applications developed by third parties. 

You will find all the information you need to start using the ELOG through the Ministry's web page at the following address: www.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/elogs. You will be guided in particular for the creation of your ELOG key and to find an ELOG application specific to your fishing. We invite you to regularly consult this page since new applications should be qualified in early 2020. For more information relating to the ELOG project, you can also call DFO’s client service line call 1-877-535-7307.

The Department encourages fish harvesters to continue monitoring Notices to fish harvesters regarding ELOGs. Information regarding relevant training which will be provided during the month of February will be announced.
